So after leaving Staples Center with an unbelievable Watch The Throne high, of course we had to grab an “LA Street Dog” aka “Danger Dog” aka “Street Meat” aka “Bacon-wrapped Hot Dog”, right?

Best. Decision. Ever. Then, this happened…

That’s ketchup, mustard, bacon-grease, and if you look closely, you can see a piece of onion. Needless to say – instant downer. But actually, I thought this would be a good opportunity for a Before & After case. First thing the next morning, I removed the laces and soaked them in a solution of JM & water, and went in!

It took a little extra elbow grease (no pun intended) to work off the yellow from the mustard, but after all was said and done, I’d say JM did its thing!

Our buds over at Skematic are on a mission to put Indonesia’s sneaker game on the map! After their hugely successful sneaker event, hISTory, earlier this month, they’re now opening their highly anticipated 2nd location in Jakarta this Friday, October 28th!

With the release of six limited pairs of Stefan Janoski’s “Vineyard” Nike SBs, free booze & BBQ, live music, and tons of giveaways from several supporting brands, you can bet this is going to be one HELL of an event!

Restored Soles, hosted by Room322, is a sneaker drive whose objective is to acquire slightly used sneakers, clean them up (using exclusively Jason Markk products!), re-lace them, and distribute them to children in need in Jamaica.

The drive takes place this Saturday, 8/20, from 12pm-8pm, at Room322 in Edmonton.

Robert Tyndale, Co-owner of Room322, explains,

“This project was inspired by a minor contribution that Room 322 (made) back in 2009. We sent only a handful of pairs of sneakers for youth in Jamaica and the kids were more than happy to receive them. Over here in Edmonton we take a lot for granted, and simple things such as shoes are highly valued in countries like Jamaica, especially to the youth who can’t even afford a decent pair.

We will be working with over 20 volunteers that will help clean, pack, and ship the footwear. What makes Restored Soles different than other sneaker drives is that we will be capturing the full experience from start to finish. We will be sending a team of four to Jamaica to help with the distribution of footwear and capture the impact of how a simple shoe can effect a child’s life.”

Btw, Robert has also coordinated with two Jamaican organizations within Edmonton, the Jamaican Association of Northern Alberta (JANA) and the Honorary Consulate of Jamaica, to aid in the effort.
